Traditional Meetings

Traditional Meetings are open-ended meetings with no "start" or "ending" date. They are held in Weight Watchers centers or public buildings (such as churches, schools or clubs.) There is a half hour weigh-in and registration period before each meeting. The meeting lasts a half hour and immediately following every meeting is a Getting Started Session. The Getting Started Session is roughly 20-30 minutes long and its purpose is to acquaint new members with the program.

Members joining at a Traditional meeting pay a $20.00 registration fee plus the applicable weekly meeting fee at the time of joining. Each week thereafter they may pay a weekly fee or they can purchase a prepayment package to save money. Members are free to attend for as long or as short of a time period as desired; there are no contracts. Traditional meetings are listed on the website with complete information (location, day, and time).

At Work and Community Meetings

At Work and Community Meetings are sold in 12-week prepaid series. A minimum of 15 participants is needed to start an At Work or Community meeting. These meetings are hosted by the client (in other words Weight Watchers comes to YOU instead of the other way around.) Each meeting starts with a 15 minute weigh-in, the meeting itself lasts 30 minutes and there is another 15 minute weigh-in following the meeting for latecomers. Members may join an At Work or Community meeting mid series by paying for the remaining weeks of the series. All members must prepay as money is not collected weekly.
